Our new HFFA Research Paper, written by Prof Oliver Mußhoff (University of Göttingen), analyses the effects of a tax on plant protection products (PPP), as it was recently proposed by authors from the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ).

Following a critical assessment of this specific pesticide tax design, the author identifies certain inadequacies. Furthermore, the author evaluates the economic impact of an introduction of such a pesticide tax in Germany for single farms, as well as for the sectoral and overall economies.
