Poultry meat production: research paper now available in English and German
While increasing agricultural productivity is a key strategy to meet the ever-growing global demand for agricultural products, modern productive technologies are often criticized for their alleged negative impacts. This is also the case for poultry meat production in the European Union (EU) and Germany, which was the focus of HFFA Research Paper 04/2017 published earlier this year. This study has now also been made available in English, and published as HFFA Research Paper 08/2017.
The study, authored by Harald von Witzke (HFFA e.V.), Hans-Wilhelm Windhorst (WING, University of Vechta) and Steffen Noleppa (HFFA Research), analyses the benefits of modern poultry meat production to society at large by quantifying the opportunity costs of moving to alternative production methods.
