Creating economic evidence for agroecological practices

We are delighted to announce that we were commissioned by GIZ to support the implementation of socioeconomic studies and assessments to measure the environmental and climatic effects of agroecological practices in the context of the Global Programme ProSoil.

In the context of the EU-co-funding ProSilience, we will develop a methodological guidance for GIZ staff and their partners to accompany the preparation and implementation of such analyses, which should guide the staff to assess the following questions:

  • What questions should be answered for selecting a methodology for economic analyses?
  • What is important to consider when tendering such analyses?
  • Which methodologies are useful at the different intervention levels of agroecology at field-, farm, landscape- and societal level?

Throughout the project we will further provide backstopping and advisory service to GIZ staff of the different partner countries of ProSoil.
