Tax on pesticides: A rational assessment and analysis of economic impacts in Germany

We just released a study assessing a tax on pesticides, which was suggested by authors from the environmental research centre in Leipzig (UFZ). The new HFFA Research Paper was written by Prof Oliver Mußhoff from University Göttingen.

The methodology follows an objective and rational assessment of the UFZ-proposed pesticide tax and thus identifies inadequacies of the aforementioned. Furthermore, the economic impact of an introduction of such a pesticide tax in Germany will be evaluated for single farms as well as the sectoral and overall economy.
